A glimpse into our two-week journey through northern Norway, where our mission was to capture the breathtaking, otherworldly beauty of this ethereal destination—and connect our clients to its soul.

For years, I worked behind the camera, directing and producing. But in today’s world, one of the most valuable skills in marketing is being able to step in front of the lens—delivering your message clearly, confidently, and directly to an audience.

This was a challenge I had avoided. I’d toyed with the idea for long enough. So, I decided to face it head-on with a 30-day challenge. Here’s what happened.

This brand video for the luxury travel agency Black Tomato aims to connect deeply with viewers by acknowledging the common challenges of modern travel. We address their worries—crowds, delays, uncertainty—tapping into the apprehensions that can overshadow the excitement of exploring new destinations. Then, we offer them the solution: Black Tomato.

With us, they’re not just traveling; they’re following a different path, discovering the extraordinary and unexpected, enjoying exclusive access and seamless experiences. Our message is clear: We’re here to elevate every moment of the journey, turning it into something unique and unforgettable.

Through this, we invite viewers to step off the beaten path and explore with us.

Underneath it all, we are all human and we all relate to what that means. In this campaign, I bring Black Tomato to life through the people who make the business what it is.

Borge Ousland is a world-renowned polar explorer. The first person to solo ski to the north and south pole, he is undoubtedly one of the greatest adventurers of our era.

In 2006 he stepped into a new challenge. Investing in a run-down island on the Steigen archipelago in northern Norway, he has spent years converting the old fishing village into one of the world’s most unique hotels. We travelled north to find out how his experiences in exploration influenced the aesthetic and atmosphere of Manshausen Island.

With a UHNW clientele, we were able to be very specific with our stories to achieve resonance with our known audience. This story was to reach our horse people in the United States and show how deeply we considered and were curious about stories such as these for them to experience themselves.

The origin of our interests is often the most interesting part of any story. We wanted to take our audience to where the world-famous Rioja wine was grown. Our character, Yarra, walks us through the vineyards and into the wineries, telling us the story and importance of the grape to the people here.
